Happy Halloween, everyone!

Halloween is BY FAR my favorite holiday. Anything spooky and dressing up in costume is always a favorite of mine. Sadly, I wasn’t able to dress up this year as I had lasik this weekend and have been recuperating (hence my severely lame absence this week).

HOWEVER. I did want to share some of my favorite halloween decor to get us in the mood. Shall we begin?

First off, let’s set the mood.

That’s better. Now. AHEM. **Cue spooky Dracula voice**

Muahahahaaaa. First off, this creeeeeptastic tablescape!

This positively macabre mantel! This is actually from a Harry Potter themed party, so y’all know I’m a fan. Always.

Look at this cake! And the black candles! And the skull!

I think I may have a slight obsession with skulls as I want to place this in my house and leave it there year round.

This tablescape. This. This will be my table for every fancy meal I ever have. For anything. Ever.

Serenbe Dreaming

Hello lovelies!

About 15 minutes down the street from my parents house is the most ADORABLE little community you’ve ever seen. Tucked away in the woods, Serenbe, GA is a small town focused on farm-to-table food, art, health and wellbeing, and of course, gorgeous design. Every one of the homes you see is a work of art. Even their street lights are swoonworthy. The below photos are all from the Serenbe instagram and the Serenbe Real Estate instagram. If you ever get a chance to visit this gem, make it happen!

Favorite Things Friday (er..Saturday)

Hey guys! I know, I know. It’s Saturday. And I’m just now doing Favorite Things Friday. I suck.

But I have a good excuse! I sat at the airport all day long and by the time I got home late last night, I was pooped to the extreme and went to bed. After eating my body weight in mac and cheese. I was glorious.

So here we are! Saddle up, partner!

First up, this adorable bunny door stop from Anthropologie.

Y’all know I am obsessed with anything bunny. My goal is to hide a bunny in every room of the house (much to the chagrin of Joshypoo).

Next, my current obsession: Moravian start light fixtures.

This stinking cute print from Scoutmob.

Finally this adorable farmhouse basket from The Cotton Coop. And it’s only $17.99!

That’s all for this week! I promise I will be less flaky next week!

Show me your textiles

Hello lovelies!

This is gonna be a quick post. Your girl is pooped. Already in my hotel room in bed with a glass of Pinot Grig and consuming more peanut butter M&M’s than what is considered socially acceptable. It’s been one of those weeks.

But a few pretty awesome ladies are participating in the How You Home event to share their textiles and pillows. My own pillow/throw situation is currently lacking, so I thought I’d share some others that are pretty rad. If y’all have any of your own, share them on Instagram with the tag #howyouhome.

Now, I’m going to go cozy up in bed and watch some scary movies. See all y’all on Friday!

Bedroom Zzzzzzz’s

Hello lovelies!

Y’all, this girl is having a long day. A long week, if we’re being real. Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

Hubs and I had colds last week. Not like a cute little baby got a sniffle cold. Nah. Like full blown honking nose and body wracked with pain and oh my gosh why does my hair hurt cold. Like, will I ever be able to breathe out of my nose again cold. So fun. THEN. I found out I had to work overtime on Saturday. THEN. I had to leave for a work trip at 6:30 Sunday morning. My hubs dropped me off at the airport. Such a sweetie right? And THEN. Then. He sends me this while I’m sitting at the airport in a coma eating the most pitiful and depressing bagel in the world.

That’s cold, man. That is cold.

But it’s all good. Currently in my PJ’s in bed in my hotel room. I’ve got some Pinot Grigio, some cable TV, some peanut butter M&M’s, and some lovely photos of some cozy and fabulous bedrooms to look at. Wanna see?

This one is so adorbs. Almost makes me want to have a baby. Almost. 😉

That bench, those mirrors, that rug, gah!

I’m SO digging these simple, round mirrors. And that wall mounted lamp!

Are you seeing a trend? 🙂 I am having a love affair with white bedding, end of the bed benches, and Persian rugs. And stripes. Always stripes.

This last one is so bold. Black walls are such a daring choice, but dang did girlfriend pull it off. So cozy and wonderful. I could definitely cozy up here.

That’s all I have for today! I’ll see you crazy kids on Wednesday. And stay healthy. Seriously, go take some emergen-c, like now.

Favorite Things Friday

Evening folks!

I’m a bit rushed this evening as I’m expecting company shortly. But I wanted to quickly share my favorite things for this week. Let’s get this show a’rolling!

First up, Rothko prints. Classic. Simple. Elegant. Looks great anywhere. These are always a solid choice. rothko boho home eclectic style.png

Next up: simple yet statement making hardware. Like these bad boys from Wilmette Feed.

I’m currently really zoned in on bar carts. I’ve been looking for one for my dining room/foyer area. Such as this beauty from Apartment Therapy. apartment therapy barcart industrial modern.png

And last but not least, this cutie pie from Anthropologie.

That’s it for this week! I’m gonna go stuff my face with alfredo and pinot grigio, byeeeeee!

Happy Wednesday, sweet readers!

Lately, I’ve discovered a new love for tablescaping. It’s something I’ve never really done before (probably due to, you know, not having a legit table)…But since I have a gaw-geous new dining room table in the works (see Dining Room Table), it has gotten my wheels ah-spinning.

This first one is from my favorite design blog, The White Buffalo Styling Co. If y’all haven’t been to her page, go immediately and check it out! Well, not immediately. Finish reading this first!

But seriously, she has amazing style and great taste. She uses a lot of rustic elements with vintage finds and unexpected twists (see those fabulous floral napkins!). She is basically the best.

This one below is almost a gothic interpretation with those black candles and cut glass goblets. And the teeny tiny little apothecary bottle tucked away (I see you there hiding!). Adorable.

I am all about easy and this one would be about as simple as it gets. And so gorgeous! How fabulous would this be for a Christmas dinner?

This one is technically for a buffet or dessert bar, but whatever. I love the fresh flowers and greenery. Flowers are always the best accessory.

And finally, sheesh-kabab look at this set up! Makes me wanna get married all over again just so I can have this as a table setting!

I’m pretty excited for after the holidays so I can stock up on some different do-dads on sale to really spice up my table next year. Y’all know I’m all about some deals, so I am biding my time waiting in the shadows until everything goes on sale. Ugh.
